How it works

The same assistant that answers on your website, with the same information, on your business WhatsApp number.

You connect your number
From your dashboard, with “Connect my WhatsApp”: you sign in with your Facebook account and pick your business number. If it doesn't work for you, we set it up with you.
It answers with your information
Every incoming message gets a reply based on your website and your documents, in the customer's language. The first one says it is an AI assistant.
When a person is needed, it tells you
If the customer wants to talk to a person, or the assistant doesn't have the answer, it asks for their email and you get it by email, with what they need.

What to know before you connect your number

So there are no surprises: this is what it does today and what it doesn't.

The number: It moves to Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. Today it can't be used at the same time in the WhatsApp phone app: Atendyo doesn't yet turn on that Meta option. Use a number you don't have in the app.
What it reads: Text messages and photos. Not voice notes: it asks the customer to type it.
What it sends: Only replies to the messages you receive, one per message. It sends no campaigns or templates.
Live chat: There isn't one: when the customer asks for a person, you get their contact details by email and write to them yourself.
AI notice: The first reply in every conversation says it is an AI assistant, as the EU AI Act requires.

What Meta charges from 1 October 2026

From that date, Meta charges per message for WhatsApp replies. Meta bills your WhatsApp Business account, not Atendyo: our €29 does not change.

Free: 1,000 replies a month for each business number. They don't roll over to the next month.
From the 1,001st: Meta charges for every reply: in Spain, $0.02 per message on its US dollar rate card.
Payment method: Meta asks for one on your WhatsApp Business account; without it, it stops delivering those replies.
Example: 2,000 replies in a month: 1,000 free and 1,000 × $0.02 = $20 for Meta.

Meta has its own AI agent for WhatsApp, Meta Business Agent. What we know about it today comes from what Meta has published.

The simple option: a button to your number

If you would rather answer yourself, your website can show a button that opens a chat with your usual number. You don't have to set anything up with Meta or use any keys, and you keep using the number in the phone app.

How do you add a chatbot to WhatsApp Business?

With Atendyo, from your dashboard: you press “Connect my WhatsApp”, sign in with your Facebook account, pick your business number and the assistant starts answering with the information on your website. If the button doesn't work for you, we set it up with you.

Is there a free chatbot for WhatsApp Business?

The WhatsApp Business app includes free quick replies and greeting and away messages, but it doesn't answer on its own with AI. Atendyo isn't free: it costs €29 a month including VAT, with the website included, and you can try it free with your website before paying.

Can I keep using WhatsApp on my phone with the same number?

Not today. The number you connect moves to the WhatsApp Business Platform, and Atendyo doesn't yet turn on the Meta option that lets you use it in the phone app at the same time. Use a number you don't have in the app, or the button that opens a chat with your usual number.

How much does Meta charge for messages?

From 1 October 2026, each business number gets 1,000 free replies a month and, from the 1,001st, Meta charges for each one; in Spain, $0.02 per message on its US dollar rate card. Meta bills your WhatsApp Business account, not Atendyo.

What happens if the customer wants to talk to a person?

The assistant asks for their email and what they need, and you get it by email so you can write to them. There is no live chat to reply from Atendyo today.
